30 Dr. Suess Quotes to live by

Hart Times

I discovered this terrific graphic on mamiverse.com (included with permission), which was posted in celebration of Dr. Suess’s birthday March 2.

Along with the simple, but powerful, lessons in these quotes, Dr. Suess can also teach us writers about perseverance.

After 27 rejections he finally sold And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street in 1937, but he wrote for two more decades before hitting it big with The Cat in the Hat, his 13th published book.

He had to pay the bills with a day job, just like us, first as a cartoonist and then as an ad man.

I’m glad he followed his own advice to, “Never, never, never give up!”

My favorite Dr. Suess book is Oh, The Places You’ll Go. What’s yours?
