Like a medicine long forgotten, WordPress tastes weird but strong, and it cures what ails me.
How have you all been? I see that my friends have stayed vigilant in writing, in sharing, in inspiring. I’ve been good myself, riding a wave that tosses me this way and that most days but never bores me.
I haven’t stopped writing because I haven’t stopped breathing. The novel in my mind trickles down to my fingertips, and it feels good to let it spill onto my keyboard.
However, I have been delving more and more into streaming and YouTube content creation. I’ve been focusing more on videogames, but I do long to come back to my roots and simply share ideas with my wonderful fellow bloggers. 🙂
Tonight I have another HUGE giveaway planned! I’ll be giving out copies of DayZ, Arkham Origins, Dead Space, and more!
The full list of the prizes are as follows:
Fish Fillets 2
Hack, Slash, Shoot
Dungeons of Dredmor Complete
Orcs Must Die GOTY Edition
Electronic Super Joy
Super Amazing Wagon Quest
Batman Arkham Origins
Infinite Crisis Beta Key
And all you have to do to win is Follow my stream, type in the magic word before I roll the dice, and pray to the Death Gods that you win! I do this all on-stream/on-camera, so there’s no sneaky business.
Last night we found a mute old man who told us we could go somewhere to find something to defeat a dragon.
Again, he was mute. Couldn’t understand a word he said.
But we also met the Greybeards! They are a group of old men who live on a mountain and speak the dangerous tongue of the dragons. You can rend the flesh from a man’s bones if you say the right (or wrong) word. And so to combat the menace that is spreading, we’re hunting Words of Power across Skyrim. Some of those words are even 4 letters. Naughty!
Guys, we did it. We reached 500 followers! 500 people have watched the stream and decided we were worthy of keeping tabs on.
We also hit 10,000 views last night. Huge milestones for having streamed only for a month and a half, and an indication of the future of our MikeReverb1 community. Thanks so much everyone. You made this possible.
The Dark Brotherhood quests have always been some my favorite questlines in the Elder Scrolls series. They task you with working in the shadows to create (or disrupt) a sense of order. Or, really, to just line the pockets of some bloodthirsty mothafuckas.
Either one works for me. 🙂
Last night, during my giveaway, we began the questline for this mysterious group of assassins, and tonight we’ll take more contracts for the glory of the Night Mother!
Illegal aliens aside, the aliens in XCOM: Enemy Unknown are pretty aggressive I found out yesterday. I was glad to kill a few, though I lost a few of my squad members in the process. I’ve already sworn to NOT reload a save game if a squad member dies. So it’s REALLY permadeath this playthrough. 😀
OH, and just a reminder: HUGE! Giveaway this weekend. Because my viewers are the most awesome people on the planet.
I’ve been meaning to tell you about this feeling that woooon’t subsiiiiide!
Yup, I’ve got hungry eyes, and the only thing that’ll satisfy them is Don’t Starve.
Carrots, berries, murdered rabbits. I’ll eat it all!
In Don’t Starve, you survive against the elements and the encroaching darkness, hoping to last just one more day before Satan takes your soul. Or something like that. I honestly just want to make jerky.
I’m happy to say that my foray into videogame streaming on Twitch.tv has been quite successful.
I’ve met a wonderful group of people who enjoy gaming, joking around, and being generally awesome. I’ve certainly not abandoned my writing; it’s simply running concurrent to the game streaming. 🙂
Tonight, I plan on playing a game called Rogue Legacy, an action-platform game where every time you die, one of your heirs tries to avenge you. It’s brutally difficult, requiring expert timing, a keen eye, and super human eye-hand coordination.
Yup, this is how the game looks. Crazy!
As always, I will be streaming my playthrough tonight at 10:00PM EST on my MikeReverb1 Twitch Channel and would love to see my friends there!
